Markers sit at approximate ZIP centers and show modeled safety scores only. Layers for official reported incidents will be added once we have a consistent, licensed incident dataset. Until then, use the official agency links below.

About this data. Safety scores here are modeled estimates from CrimeScore, built from Census block groups and given by ZIP code. They are not official crime rates or burglary counts. A higher score means safer. ZIP codes are postal areas, not police jurisdictions, and can cross city lines. Retrieved October 29, 2026. Check the current figures with the source.

Table view

ZIPs 34134 and 34135 appear under both Bonita Springs and Estero because the ZIP areas cross city lines.

Three kinds of data, kept separate

Reported offenses

Crimes reported by agencies to the state's FIBRS system and in FDLE's annual reports. This is the best source for burglary counts, at the agency or county level.

Calls for service

Dispatch activity, such as the Collier County Sheriff's map. A call is not a confirmed crime.

Modeled estimates

Third-party scores built from statistical models. They're useful for broad context but are not official rates.

Our publishing rules

  • We never call a ZIP code or neighborhood "the worst"
  • Burglary rates are shown only when the area, years and population base are consistent
  • We never map to a private address
  • Every chart shows its source, date range and limitations
  • We log corrections publicly

A visit can't prevent crime. It can catch problems early.

Regular, documented checks mean signs of entry, water or storm damage are found and reported quickly.
